We’re excited to share that our Minnetonka clinic is getting a “refresh”! With this construction, our Minnetonka clinic will be closed to patient care starting Wednesday, May 22nd and will reopen on Monday, June 10th. We’ll look forward to seeing you at our other clinic locations during this time!

A letter from Pat Zajac, APRN, CNP, IBCLC
After 50 years of providing health care to children, and 30 of those years at South Lake Pediatrics, I have made the decision to retire at the end of May 2024. It is time. It has truly been an honor and a blessing for me that you have allowed me to provide health care to your precious children all these years. I have so many cherished memories: visiting you at the hospital with your new baby, seeing first time parents to help with breastfeeding, those bad winters of recurrent illness when you felt you might as well just bunk in the clinic, those fun well visits looking for “bunnies” in their ears, blowing out the “magical” light, and delighting in your child’s brilliant and funny answers to my questions. And just working through whatever health problem presented itself.
It sounds cliche, but parenting is the most important job you will have in your life filled with love, laughter, and joy, but at times also sadness, worry, and suffering. It is no small thing. Each evening after clinic, I went home impressed by the unconditional love, commitment, and self-sacrifice that I witnessed daily. Your equanimity, strength, patience, sense of humor, and intelligence is always inspiring. I do hope that perhaps when your journey became stressful that I in some small way helped lighten your load.
I do want to make your continuity of care as easy and seamless as possible. I would not have stayed this long at South Lake Pediatrics if I did not have the love, support and respect I do for my colleagues. The physicians and nurse practitioners are truly the most competent, caring, and respectful group of people I know. The entire South Lake Pediatrics team-management, medical assistants, front office, triage, care coordination, and the business office are exemplary and in a class all their own. You are truly in good hands.
With this said, the Plymouth clinician team continues to include Dr. Alison Brophy, Dr. JoAnne Hoffman Jecha, Dr. Matthew Segedy, Dr. Megan Wong, Dr. Jason Young, and Katherine Christopherson, APRN, CNP. I will also be helping out on occasion throughout the summer with wellness checkups.
I will never forget any of you. I have lived a richer life because of each of you and am forever grateful. May God bless each of you as you continue your wonderful journey.

RSV Update-Monoclonal Antibody Injection
Due to a nationwide shortage, South Lake Pediatrics is currently unable to offer Beyfortus (RSV injection). The demand for this new treatment has far exceeded the supply, resulting in significant manufacturing challenges. It is likely that no additional doses will be manufactured the rest of the 2023-2024 RSV season. South Lake Pediatrics will continue to closely monitor availability and will post an update should the situation change.

Rebekka McClure’s last day at South Lake Pediatrics will be September 6, 2023. Rebekka has been providing invaluable psychotherapeutic services to our patient population in Plymouth and Maple Grove as part of our integrative health and wellness services. We are grateful for the care that Rebekka has provided to so many children and families, and we wish her the best as she continues her work in the mental health field.

Starting January 6th, 2024, South Lake Pediatrics will merge Saturday clinic into one location (Plymouth Clinic – 15535 34th Ave N #100, Plymouth, MN 55447). Saturday clinic hours will remain the same, 8:15am – 12:00pm, with the same appointment availability and support for families, all at one location. Maple Grove and Minnetonka will continue to have Saturday clinics through the end of the year.

Thank you for choosing us as your health care home. We would like to take this time to inform you of upcoming changes to our clinic locations.
We will be consolidating our Children’s West and Plymouth offices and will be opening a new location in Plymouth on September 18, 2023. The new clinic address will be 15535 34th Avenue North in Plymouth. Please know that the last day of seeing patients at our Children’s West clinic will be Friday, September 1, 2023, and the last day of seeing patients at our current Plymouth clinic will be Tuesday, September 12, 2023.
